From Startup to Industry Leader

What began as a two-truck operation has grown into a full-service logistics and consulting firm with a footprint across the continental United States.

2007

Company Founded in Houston

Marcus Cox founded Cox Supply Chain Consulting LLC with two owner-operator trucks and a deep belief that the logistics industry needed a more client-focused approach. The company secured its first contract with a Houston-area petrochemical supplier.

2010

Freight Brokerage License Obtained

We secured our FMCSA freight broker authority (MC# 892341), allowing us to build a carrier network beyond our own fleet and offer clients a broader range of capacity options across domestic lanes.

2013

Warehousing Division Launched

We opened our first 120,000 sq ft distribution warehouse in the Houston Ship Channel area, adding pick-and-pack, cross-docking, and inventory management to our service portfolio.

2016

Consulting Practice Formalized

As clients increasingly asked for strategic logistics advice, we built a dedicated consulting team. Within two years, consulting engagements had delivered an average of 22% in logistics cost savings for clients.

2019

Temperature-Controlled Fleet Expansion

We added 40 refrigerated trailers and a specialized cold chain logistics team to serve the growing demand for compliant food and pharmaceutical transportation across the southern United States.
